per Brazilian Business Network for Life Cycle Assessment
With growing concerns about environmental degradation, climate change and the scarcity of natural resources, it is critical that communities, businesses and governments work together to find sustainable solutions. In this context, working groups on sustainability aspects and criteria of different institutions and associations, which bring together people with diverse knowledge and skills, coming from different sectors of society, can be an excellent alternative in the search for effective strategies to face the environmental challenges that we observe it daily.
At these meetings, the potential to promote collaboration and cooperation between different sectors of society is unquestionable and can lead to innovative and scalable solutions that can have a significant impact on protecting the environment, as well as providing evidence-based information and recommendations for decision makers, influencing the development of public policies that promote sustainability.
Thus, the Brazilian Business Network for Life Cycle Assessment (ACV Network) promotes monthly discussions in more than five Working Groups on the most varied themes, correlating them with impact measurement instruments, such as Life Cycle Assessment, to guide decision-making and support the determination of product sustainability. Of these discussion groups, the Foundation actively participates in 4 – Biodiversity, Labeling, Circular Economy and Sustainable Development Goals –, and coordinates the annual activities of 2 of these – Circular Economy and Sustainable Development Goals; because we believe, like the Network, that the exchange and production of knowledge can strengthen different sectors and reflect positive impacts on society.
