While large companies have well-structured sustainability goals, strategies and results, MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) face numerous challenges in adopting sustainable practices that can represent difficult and discouraging obstacles. Aiming to provide knowledge and tools to MSMEs in the chemical sector, the German-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Industry of São Paulo (AHK) and the Eco+ Foundation are launching the initiative SMEs Go Green, accelerating green chains in the chemical and automotive industries. The initiative is part of the European Union’s “AL-INVEST Green” funding program, and in its first year of development it focused on the chemical industry. This current report concluded the “Diagnosis” stage of the first year of the program, presenting the methodology adopted, the results and the main conclusions found.
